One of the interesting speeches, I came a cross, at the WEB2.0 summit held for the 8th time in San Francisco, is the attendance of San Francisco’s mayor, Edwin Lee. what is so unique about his speech is his commitment to his county, first of all, and the advocacy to use this occasion to actually challenge the summit’s community. This man presented an authentic challenge and cause in the technology field. He pointed out the purpose of technology in the first place; it’s to help humanity advance and prosper for a better world. This man really nailed it. I have to say that I admire his presence as a caring, proactive, and genuine endeavor. This is unlike other government officials when they are invited to inaugurate or patronize an event. They just sit still; not adding any value with their presence. This mayor deserves all the credit for his speech at the summit.
